Poetry

Poetry is a form of writing, often in rhyme, that tells a story or describes something. A poem rhymes  when two or more lines end with the same sound.

Figurative Language

Figurtive Language is a language that goes beyong  it's meaning.

Similes

Similes use like or as to compare things.

Metaphors

Metaphors compare two things without like or as. 

Imagery

The pictures we from in our minds.

Sound Effects

Sound effects  also bring a poem to life. One type of sound effect is alliteration, in which two or more words start with the sam consontant letter. For ex: "twirling, tapping, twisting"
