Variables

A variable is something that can be changed in an experiment. For ex: You're growing a tomato plant and you put some plant food on it. The plant grows taller the next week. The variable is the plant's height. This is true because the plant heights changes when you put the food  in it.

Independent Variable

An in dependent variable is, something that is deliberately changed in an experiment to see how it impacts the result. The amount of things you add to something will change it. You doing this to see if it has any effect. For ex: The amount of plant food you put inside the plant is the independent variable. You are using the food to see if either one (Feeding the plant you food once a week/twice a week.) will have an effect on the plant

Dependent Variable

A dependent variable is something that changes in an experiment as a result of a change in the independent variable. This makes the growth of the tomato plant  the dependent variable. It "depends" on the plant food to bring to bring about some sort of change.

Constants

A constant is things that you keep the same on purpose during an experiment. Some constants in the would be the type of plant food used , the amount of watering done, and the time that has passed before evaluating any changes.

Control

Control is is a test where the independent variable is left to unchanged to provide a comparason. The control in this experiment will be two tomato plants that you will feed.
