Strategies to Summarizing Nonfiction

We should think about paragraph after paragraph.

For ex:

...

A short statement that tells the main points or important ideas of a reading passage.

Read the passage or selection

Identify the main idea.

Put the ideas in you own words.

Leave the out the little details

Use the text structure of the text.
